Staff at Batchelder Associates, PC are members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Vermont Society of Public Accountants. We follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), as well as government auditing standards established by the Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB). We follow professional regulations and standards established by the AICPA and meet Government Auditing Standards for Yellow Book and audits based on OMB Circular A-133 (for governments and nonprofits receiving federal funds).
Meet the Team
Bonnie Batchelder grew up in Barre, Vermont and is the Founder and CPA/Owner of Batchelder Associates. She has worked in the field since graduating from UVM in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Accounting. Bonnie is responsible for the oversight of Batchelder Associates, P.C., a staff of seven (7) employees and management of multiple clients diversified in many areas. I received my undergraduate degree (BS-Business Admin) from University of Connecticut and my graduate degree (MSPA) from the University of Hartford. My experience is in Controllerships in the private sector including Trucking (Moving), Metal Finishing, Injection Molding, Construction (Swimming Pools) and Business Machine Industries I am a widower with three grown children and one grandchild.
I have worked here for 3 years, starting out in an Administrative position. I received my bachelor’s degree from Castleton University in 2017 for Business Marketing. I enjoy working with our clients and learning more about the accounting world. Outside of work I enjoy being outdoors – fishing, skiing, and more. I also love animals.
Before joining the team Batchelder team I was the general manager of a restaurant for 7 years. The HR and Accounting aspects of the job were always something I was interested in learning more of and I hope to further a career in the accounting field. In my free time I enjoy reading, crafts with my daughter, hunting, and just being outdoors.

Before joining the firm, I worked as a business manager for 8 years. I have a degree in Accounting and Business Management. I enjoy exercising, cooking, and spending time with daughter and husband.
Before joining Batchelder Associates I was a stay-at-home Mom for 2 ½ years to my 3 boys. Before that I did payroll at my previous job and always wanted to continue to learn more about accounting. Outside of work I enjoy camping, spending time outdoors with my boys, reading and playing softball.
